#3: Unbreakable: Who I Am, Where I’ve Been, and Why I Won’t Stop
Unbreakable: Who I Am, Where I’ve Been, and Why I Won’t Stop
I’ve always said the best stories are the ones written with blood, sweat, and a relentless refusal to quit. So let me tell you mine.
I’m Tora Woloshin—artist, fighter, visionary, and the woman behind Tenacious T. I was born in Canoga Park and raised in Tucson, Arizona, where I started singing and dancing at age four. By seven, I had a demo tape. By thirteen, I produced my first EP. By fifteen, I’d earned my GED and was a working chef, determined to carve out a path in music, no matter the cost.
That path hasn’t been easy. I was assaulted at 14 by someone I trusted, a trauma I carried in silence until I turned 21. I’ve endured industry betrayal, endured broken contracts, stolen songs—60 of them—and physical violence that cost me my spot on The Voice. When X Factor USA came around, Simon Cowell told me America was finally ready. He mentored me personally, helping re-light a fire I nearly lost.
Since then, I’ve performed on Top 40 radio, toured the U.S., opened for legends like Flo Rida, Pink and Ne-Yo, and toured China with my own choreography and handmade costumes. I’ve studied film at the prestigious San Francisco Art Institute, cared for my father after heart surgery, and rebuilt myself after the death of my uncle and the illness of my step-grandmother.
When the pandemic hit, everything paused—my school shut down, my gigs dried up, and I was forced to face myself. And that’s when I quit drinking. On June 5th, 2023, I took the first step toward the truest version of me.
Now, I’m back. I’ve returned to my roots: music, film, modeling, photography, and truth. I do my own PR. I produce my own content. I stay up until 3 a.m. editing videos and wake up at 7 a.m. to make music again. I create because it’s what keeps me breathing.
I've been burned and buried—but I’ve also risen. I’ve worked with legends, survived manipulators, and kept my soul intact in an industry that’s tried to snatch it more than once. And I haven’t just survived—I’ve built a legacy, one hard-earned moment at a time.
Today, I’m the founder of REV Motion—a soon-to-launch nonprofit aimed at rescuing animals, empowering children, and building sustainable futures. My mission is bigger than fame. It’s about healing, connection, and unity through creativity.
So when you read this blog, you’re not just reading stories. You’re witnessing survival. You’re entering a world where trauma becomes triumph, where resilience is laced into every lyric, and where art is the bridge between brokenness and beauty.
This is my life. These are my scars. This is my stage.
And I’m just getting started.
Welcome to Tenacious T.
I'm glad to see you writing as I have always found it cathartic and the best way to work through grief, anger, disappointment and depression.
